●The mechanism of Aquaponics
Aquaponics refers to a circular agricultural system that combines aquaculture and hydroponics.
In an Aquaponics mechanism, bacteria break down the waste produced by the farmed fish into nutrients for the plants, which then use these nutrients to grow.
In this mechanism, plants act as natural water purifiers, and the purified water is returned to the fish tanks, creating a circular farming method.
This system, often described as a microcosm of nature, does not waste or replace water and requires no pesticides or chemical fertilizers; agriculture,
embodying sustainability and being the gentlest on the Earth.
It is, in essence, organic farming using water alone.
